Agreement
By downloading or using Holly Timecode (the “App”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Holly Timecode for personal and professional purposes, subject to these terms and the applicable platform’s standard end-user license terms where required.
Permitted Use
You may use Holly Timecode for any lawful purpose, including commercial production workflows. The app is a professional tool, and you are responsible for how you deploy it.
Timecode Accuracy
- Timecode accuracy depends on your device, adapters, cables, routing, and receiving equipment.
- You are responsible for verifying sync before and during use on real productions.
- Holly Timecode does not guarantee fitness for any specific broadcaster, camera, recorder, or regulatory requirement.
- Critical productions should always maintain an appropriate backup plan.
GPS and Metadata Accuracy
GPS-derived metadata and user-bit information depend on device hardware, permissions, signal quality, and environmental conditions. You are responsible for verifying any location-sensitive data you rely on.
Your Data
Workflow data you create in Holly Timecode, including presets and related settings, belongs to you. You are responsible for your own backups and exports.
In-App Purchases
Holly Timecode offers optional paid support subscriptions (Pro Support at $199.99/year and Enterprise Support at $499.99/year). All core features of the app are available for free. Paid tiers are optional and support continued development. Subscription processing and cancellation are handled by the applicable platform store.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, complete error-free behavior, or compatibility with every downstream production device or workflow.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holly Timecode is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, goodwill, revenue, or profits arising from use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Third-Party Libraries
Holly Timecode generates SMPTE 12M Linear Timecode with our own clean-room timecode engine. The shipping apps include no third-party LTC library. The app uses the following third-party component:
- GeographicLib - Coordinate conversion and geodesy support. Licensed under the MIT License.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
